I really don’t see how so many acne treatment companies get away with advertising their products as the next big cure for acne. As a teenager I had very bad acne and out of all the acne treatments that I tried, maybe 5% of them actually works well enough to actually spend the money on. Thankfully today everyone is able to get online to read reviews on just about any product on earth. My young nephew recently told me about a website called AcneCuresRevealed.com and said he read a few of the reviews before buying any acne cream. I wish there were these kinds of resources available to us when I was a kid.

I recently came across a new website that catalogs a wide variety of rap artists albums, biographies and pictures. They also display the top 10 rap artists, soon to be top 100 rap artists and also the top rap songs. It’s actually a pretty interesting website. The website hasen’t been up for long, so I’m sure they are going to have a ton of different things as the site gets more traffic and gains popularity. Check it out at www.RapArtists.com.

A couple of days ago I ordered some new Cavender’s cowboy boots for my girlfriends brother’s birthday. He’s really into western wear and the whole cowboy kind of lifestyle. He owns 3 horses and only buys his clothes from Cavender’s. Some of their products are kind of pricey for my taste, but I guess you get what you pay for these days. I hope he likes the boots, but if he doesnt, they take returns and he’ll be able to exchange them for something he’d rather have.

I’ve been having some web hosting issues lately and it’s getting pretty annoying. Every time I turn around my hosting is either down for maintainence or its just lagging bad and very slow. I think I’m going to switch to Hostgator soon. A friend of mine has hosting through them and he never has any problems. Ten bucks a month doesnt sound too bad for the space and bandwidth that they offer. And they take Paypal which is also nice.

I have finally signed up for one of those free checking accounts that WaMu advertises on television. So far I am very happy with it. They offer free checks, free outgoing wire transfers, one free overdraft/non-sufficient Funds fee refund per year, free identity theft services and more. On top of everything, they only require $1.00 to open a free checking account. I really havent seen anything this good elsewhere.

I stumbled on the website www.live365.com and I must say how addictive this website is. It is a site that broadcast all genres of music like alternative, blues, classical, jazzy, country even reggae music with fewer interruptions. So far the only station I listen to is the Jazz station and it is very impressive with a crisp sound. If ever you get tired of XM Satellite Radio that can be heard through AOL, then www.live365.com should be your next musical destination.

For burgeoning journalists and writers who have been scammed by employers who take their work and refuse to pay, there is a website that has been designed to put these employers on blast. A freelance journalist who was scammed by someone on a job board created the website.  It compelled her to start a blog that allows the victims to write about their experiences and indulge in a few names dropping as well. On the heels of successful meet-up websites like MySpace.com and Hi-5.com comes Facebook.com. This website puts people in touch with friends, work colleagues and even old classmates from high school and college. I checked it out recently and I must say that I was not impressed. You can’t magnify the pictures of your friends to get a close up to see if the face matches with the name you entered, there is lack of information on the pages and the system will refuse you if you attempt to use a fictitious name or just your initials. How lame is that? I’ve since canceled my membership with them. They’ll soon fizzle out. I guarantee it.
