My sister found out that she was pregnant last Thursday. She went to the doctor for a routine “female exam” and her doctor informed her that she was pregnant. She had no idea. She was very excited and also very scared at the same time. Her doctor recommended that she start taking an organic prenatal vitamin to keep herself and her baby healthy during the remainder of her pregnancy. I am so excited for her. Her boyfriend can’t believe that she is pregnant. He has been telling everyone he knows, even people he hasen’t talked to in years.

About this time last year I decided to remodel my kitchen. I did all of it in 5 days while my wife was out of town at a conference with some of her co-workers. She came home and was completely surprised and shocked that I went through all of the trouble just to make her happy. I ordered some gorgeous floor tiles, new cabinets, new kitchen appliances, I put in a nice island in the middle of the kitchen with a cutting board surface on it for preparing meals and I ordered 3 new sets of pots and pans, brand new silverware, new lighting, just about anything you can think of. I really enjoy home improvement projects and wouldn’t mind taking on some home improvement jobs on the side.

Everyone keeps asking my niece what she wants for her birthday. She is very hard to buy for and please, being at the age of 17. She keeps telling everyone that she would love to have gift cards to some of her favorite stores. That way she can pick out whatever she sees in the store that she likes, or wants, and purchase it with the gift cards. Everyone that we’ve talked to in our family has decided to give her gift cards and we will do the same. That way whatever she gets will be something she really wants and it’s the easiest gift to purchase, too.

My best friend is finally taking the plunge and proposing to his girlfriend. He asked me to come with him the other day to look at engagement rings for her. He ended up buying a very nice Laureato Regal diamond solitaire ring. he hasen’t proposed yet, but I think she’s going to love it. Hopefully she says yes (ha-ha, I know you’re reading this David). My girlfriend gets pretty nervous driving long distances by herself and going out at night with her girlfriends. I’ve been trying to get her to get a CCW permit to carry a handgun, but she doesn’t really feel comfortable around guns and she doesn’t think she would be able to use it if the time came. I’ve been showing her several different self defense products and she has been interested in a few of them. I think she’ll end up carrying a nice taser and some sort of mace-like spray.

My girlfriend really enjoys cooking and trying to come up with new meal ideas. Recently she started experimenting with snacks and appetizers and I’ve got to say, I’m really enjoying it. She’s been visiting MyRecipes.com for a lot of different recipes and she’s doing a great job. She’s even got me in there helping her at times. I hope this isn’t just a phase, because I’m enjoying the heck out of it.

I’m thinking about taking a nice little vacation this summer with my girlfriend. We’ve been budgeting and planning for a nice vacation for about 2 years now and I really think it’s time we took the plunge and cashed it in. We’ve been talking about going to either Las Vegas or Florida. I really enjoy going to Las Vegas, the atmosphere and everything is just very nice. I also like being outside and around at night, so Las Vegas is the perfect city for me. On the other hand, I’ve never been to Florida and it looks like it could be fun to just hang out on the beach and sip Margaritas for a couple of weeks. We’ll see.

Christmas is going to be here before you know it. I started buying gifts for all my of family and friends last week. I got quite a bit of the gifts online at stores like eBay and Buy.com. I just started looking for the perfect gift for my girlfriend and I came across a website called MySolitaire.com. I started browsing the website and I noticed they had a bunch of nice diamond pendants. I think that’s what I’m going to get my girlfriend as her main gift this year. She loves jewelry (as all women do) and she hasent got any new pendants in a while. She has plenty of necklaces and rings, so I don’t think I’m going to buy her anymore of those this year.

My girlfriend has been talking to me all week about some new succession planning that’s going on down at the organization the works for. I really honestly have no idea what she’s talking about but I still nod my head and say “oh really, thats interesting”. I guess I need to read about it online so I can actually talk with her about it.

My girlfriend’s birthday is coming up and I think that I’m going to buy her some sexy lingerie. She loves wearing lingerie to spice things up and I really have absolutely no complaints about it. I’m also getting her a necklace or a new ring. I’m not sure which to get yet. I am for sure getting her a couple peices of lingerie, though.
